2007 Master Design Awards

Qualified Remodeler - 2007 Master Design Awards

Now in its 29th year, the Master Design Awards continues to be a premier award for resdidential remodelers. What distinguishes this award program from others is the peer-to-peer nature of the award. Only active remodelers and designers are permitted to sit on our panel.

This year’s judging took place June 13 -14 at the Mid-Day Club, in downtown Chicago, overlooking the city. Judges were hand-picked and brought in from all over the United States to give a wide variety of views and opinions on the projects. Our 2007 judging panel consisted of Michael Menn, AIA, CGR, CAPS, of Design Construction Concepts, Northbrook, Ill.; Geno Benvenuto of Benvenuti & Stein, Evanston, Ill.; Martha Kerr, CKD, of Neil Kelly Co., Portland, Ore.; Bill Milholland, of Case Design & Remodeling, Washington, D.C.; and Chaden Halfhill, of Silent Rivers Inc., Urbandale, Iowa.

Over the next 22 pages of Master Design Awards, the Gold winners are showcased along with the companies that won Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention awards. Also, in partnership with Chrysalis, recipients of both Chrysalis and Master Design Awards for the same project are recognized with a JANUS award.

This year the Master Design Awards prouduced 22 Gold award winners, 22 Silver award winners, 17 Bronze award winners and 11 honorable mention awards. Among all of these winners, the judges then selected a Best Project above $250,000 and Best Project below $250,000. This year, the judges selected two projects sharing the title of Best Project Over $250,000 and one with the title of Best Project Under $250,000.
